W3 Productions, was a small web design and hosting company that I started on
January 1, 2002, to provide professional and affordable e-solutions for small
businesses and organizations desiring a presence on the web.
Specializing in content managment systems design and development for the web as well
as client-server applications software design and development,
W3 Productions drew the attention of a start-up company, Intelligent Home Solutions, Inc.
IHS was developing a "smart" home application called VitalView, which consisted
of various hardware and software modules. They wanted to simplify the
amount of software required for normal operation, and they also wanted to implement
Electronic Design Technology's product line of i-LiNE hardware for controlling the
lighting in rooms.
Other projects have included a virtual casino client-server
system for a start-up company in La Isla Margarita, VZ (International Internet),
and an e-CRM (customer relations management system)
for a start-up dot-com company in Chicago (lightflow.com) in 2000.

A month after receiving the i-LiNE hardware from IHS, I had a functional prototype of the server
for demonstration, a hybrid between a web server which provided a web-driven graphical user
interface, and a custom application server, which
communicated with the i-LiNE hardware via the RS-232 COM1 serial port, by using the
i-LiNE network interface.
Unfortunately, IHS went out of business due to lack of funding for the project and the
prototype was abandoned.
